The Len Warren Travel Awards

Guidelines:

  1. The award be named after Len Warren.
  2. One of the essential criteria is that development of relationships formed during the previous Parker Centre Hydrometallurgy Conferences have priority.
  3. A small committee representing each of the Research Partners is to assess applications and allocate funds following the CEO’s signing off.
  4. Applications to be made on a one-page proforma.
  5. Applications will be accepted at any time but no financial commitments shall be made until the funding has been approved by the CEO.
  6. Encouragement is given to young Centre researchers to be involved (eg working visits to overseas collaborator’s laboratory).
  7. Visitors coming to the Centre should provide value to more than one research area/project.
  8. Overseas experts are to be encouraged to provide workshops/seminars for industry and Centre staff and students.
  9. Part funding is preferred to maximise the spread of available funds and show a commitment to the activities proposed.
  10. Airfares to be funded only at the economy class level.
