Risk & Safety Management Training Course
Two days: 4 April and 6 May 2005.

This course explored the management system approach to minimising accidents and risk within the minerals processing and mining industry. It included topics concerning basic concepts (eg what is a hazard, what is risk management and energy model concepts); rationale behind implementing a risk management program (such as legislative requirements, the responsibilities of employers/managers/employees and the benefits of effective risk management); risk assessment tools available for use on mine sites and how to effectively manage risk.

Presenter: Mr Simon Destree-Thompson of Simon Thompson Associates.
